That doesn't always work if the calibration of the machine is a bit out. I would draw a line on the plan say 20cms long with short verticals at each end and say you want that line to be exactly 22.6cms long on the finished print. Then you will know exactly what you are getting.

dont forget, when you print there can be up to 5mm difference over each metre of paper variation - just due to the humidity of the paper, something that a lot of perfectionists in the architectural world seem to forget when claiming drawings are 'to scale' I dont know of any printer manufacturer that claims better accuracy. It can be done better but only with a full calibration run just before the required print, even then if you move the print to a more humid location, you stand the chance it will stretch by up to the same 5mm from true.
on some machines they express it as a scale when printing or copying, so 113% would equate to 1.13 as a scale.

Architectural drawings usually specify that written measurements should be preferred over scaled ones. I suppose that if they aren't then that is when you get a leaking roof.....

Larry,
are you trying to get 113% larger than 1.28 on your printer?
If so try 1.45 on the printer. (1.28 x 1.13)
check thou, because math's was never my strong subject.
cheers
