Now guys,
please tell me what the difference is, between a brand new Ferrari California Spider at £200,000.00p plus, and a Model Slipway or Metcalf Mouldings kit at £300.00
well, on the model boat kits from Model Slipway and Metcalf mouldings..........
They take the Flashings off the white metal mouldings before they go out to the PURCHASING PUBLIC.
It seems that Ferrari, at 200K plus, CAN'T BE BOTHERED............ >>:-( >>:-( >>:-( >>:-( >>:-(
Just have a look at the flashing left on the join of the "I" at the top joining line to the lettering.
Flashing never cleaned off before it went to the chromium plating guys. %% %% %% %%
and multiple mould join lines on all the lettering, especially the last "R" {:-{ {:-{ {:-{ {:-{
-
Well anyone who pays £200k for any car clearly has more money than sense but in this case its more a case of money and NO sense.
-
I thought this was going to be a joke... Seems actually Ferrari are the jokers
-
It clearly demonstrates that the buyer will accept anything to own a ferrrrrari :o :o .
The saying a fool and his money are soon parted comes to mind. O0 O0
Perhaps the logo is sub contracted to .......................... %% %% %%
PS what was wrong with the Metcalf kit %) %) %)
-
What do you expect from fiat though
-
Looks like dried polish to me ok2

The mould lines on the R Certainly do not though

hey, matey..............I own a Fiat 500L and theres nowt wrong with that little machine......just taken me to Oban for the weekend and never missed a beat, .....would rather have that than a Ferrari.
-

polish, polish, :o :o :o
Thought Ferrari's shone forever %) %)
They would be no good in the Aussie sunshine then <*< <*< <*<
-
Looks like dried polish to me ok2
well they must have chromium plated the "dried polish " then >>:-( >>:-( >>:-( >>:-( >>:-(
-
Me too!
Ixion.......I HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO WITH MY TIME, than try passing off a bit of dried polish for flashing on a badly moulded sign...... <*< <*< <*< <*< <*< <*<
wouldn't even have bothered photographing the b***** thing if it had have been........but there are always the doubters in every walk of life........WE JUST HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THEM!!!!! {:-{ {:-{ {:-{ {:-{ {:-{ {:-{ {:-{
And it's even more insulting when people doubt my integrity AND eyesight for nothing more than to start an argumentative discussion....... >>:-( >>:-( >>:-( >>:-(
-
I always wondered why they left the bar along the top joining the letters together, looks kind of unfinished to me, individual letters would be nicer I think?
Quality seems to be dropping at the factory if they passed that component for fitting, Doesn't look good with casting flash on it!
Craig.

Most automotive name/brand plates/plaques these days are nickel plated over plastic........ O0
Clearly the example here has probably been used since Enzo was a boy...... {-) ......Derek

Shock, horror, the sky is now falling in, surely not on a Fffferrari, next you will be telling me it was made in China.
Oh my goodness, where will it all end.
No more Holdens, No more Falcons, is there no end to all of this madness. %) %) %) %) %) %)
-
Well.........RAAArtyGunner says.......'next you will be telling me it was made in China' {-)
I believe the Holden lion head badges fitted to both the Cruise & the Commodore motor vehicles are nickel plated plastic & produced in Korea........ O0 ....Derek

If you want to see how well Ferrari's are made watch the megastructures documentary. Its a very good watch indeed but 45 minute long

The question arises...could I get a six foot long sub in a Ferrari? ;)

Only on a roof rack Rich so it would be no good to you - or me for that reason {-)
-
That's just saved me (or rather saved Motability) a few quid then.
-
Blimey guys,
the size of some off the boats that have been built by people on this forum,
you could fit the Ferrari in them O0 {-)
No good for me (petrol engines are not allowed on our club lake) %) {-)

No flash on the logos :o :o :o

A decent Caterham would run rings around it anyway. And I prefer the older Ferraris. 250 GTO anyone?
-
Nah...a 500cu in blown Hemi in a '23T Bucket for me. Eat a Ferrari for breakfast, and still be hungry...

But its a pain when HGV's overtake
by driving over the roof :D :D
