Title: Batteries- Various!!!!!
Post by: Chris G on February 26, 2014, 03:47:21 pm
I think I have a similar problem as Brian56. I have acquired two Lipo batteries one is 20-30c discharge 4000mah 3 cell 11.1v and the other is 9.9v 1800mah. Not really sure why I bought them. Are they useful to power 1/32 scale model boats in place of normal batteries and can you advise on a suitable charger for a modest sum.
I also have a Tornado 4300 Nimh 25-35amp can I charge it with my 6-8 cell trickle charger, it charger states 6 cells 180ma +/- and 8 cells 140ma +/-. Also how long will it take to charge? This one really interest me as it is in a smart boat whereas the lipo might find their way back to 'sales'.
I will be grateful for any help, I know nought about batteries or electrics come to that and am not sure that the grey matter at my age will stop me showing that glazed expression.
thanks Chris G

I should read through the 700 letters on the subject in this section.    %)

It's quite important where Lipos are concerned.  There's a lot to it.

Cheers

Thanks Ken
I do agree with you, I had hoped for a one line answer but realise after reading some of the posts that Lipo is not for me. Two items for that well known auction site and I will stick to something I understand a little about. {-)

This subject is for me now closed, thanks for your interest. Chris G
