Hi Everyone
I am just about to attempt model by design Mersey class lifeboat.
This will be my first attempt at building a semi kit and to help me on my way does anyone know where I can find a build thread with pics to help me on my way.

You'll find two or three on here just use the search box. I'm planning to do one myself and have looked through the blogs a few times

Make sure you know which boat you are building yours to detail, as the earlier boats had a slightly different hull design to the later ones, so this needs to be agreed early on. Same then applies to the roof aerials and interior, different stations have slightly different layouts and radio sets.
One word of warning which MBD gave to me and it proved well worth it. "keep the boat light in weight" if you want it to move anything like scale, don't use too much heavy wood work either in the hull or cabin upperworks, try to use lite ply or better still styrene. then she'll move at it shoud
