Hi this is my 1:96th Hms Bristol, I purchased her a few years ago from a guy in huddersfield and bought her back to Portsmouth. I am just about to start a refurb on her and then build Hms Westminster at 1:96th to go with her.

Nice to see her as she was rather than as she is now
-
Nice model of a fine looking ship! She is on my list of 'to-do's' in 1/72nd.
Are your plans Jecobin, if so, are they good?
Please post more pics as you refurbish.....internals would also be good. Is the hull bought or scratchbuilt?
-
HI Type 82 I know the builder very well a long standing member of Kirklees Model Boat Club. I will be speaking to him this evening and I am sure he will be interested in your plans.
All the best

Looks brilliant, I'll follow your progress with the refurb, one of my favourite modern destroyers :-))

Nest project, have some cracking shots taken recently way down in the bowels, hope to built her with the 30mm and 2x 20mm gun decks, did toy with the idea of having her in service a bit longer so could fit phalanx as she was ready to have it if needed.
Alsop hoping to tie the build in with the book on her that I am doing, starting in Sept.

Hi guys thanks for the comments I have joined Portsmouth model boat display team. To learn some skills before attempting the refurb as I do not want to ruin a great model she already is
-
Hi Stan could you send him my regards and ask him if you can pass on his contacts. Details to me as I have lost them and would be good to get in touch
-
I had literally hundreds of pics taken on her as she is now.
Shall I have a dig around and see if I can find them.
I used them for close up structure.
And had an interesting day on board.

Hi Littoralcombat
I can make a 1/72nd scale HMS Bristol hull the price would be 140.00 pounds and shipping to Australia would be 30.00 by surface mail.
I just finished the Type 24;

as you can see the longer hulls are supplied in 2 halves with a flange for easy re-assembly.

What price the Type 14 Hull?
-
£82.50

Hi tried emailing the link but keeps coming up with max submission even with no details added, can you drop me a PM

noticed model has several bilge keels whereas real ship has 1 forward of the three stabilisers, guess its cause its on the Jecobin plan that people include it, several faults on that plan have come to light the more time I spend on board her :-))
