Title: KINGSBURY WARSHIP DAY
Post by: Warship on July 08, 2007, 08:22:33 pm
I would just like to extend my thank's to those of you who attended our 2nd Annual Warship Day at Kingsbury Water Park, today Sunday July 8th. A great day was had by all and glorious weather too! There were some fantastic models and the cream of the day must go to the person with the 1/96 model of the Japanese Battleship Yamato. A truly superb model. Many other battleships were present, including King George V, Repulse, Missourri, Bismark, Tirpitz and a few others. Carrier's Victorious & Ark Royal sailed in company as last year and are getting to know each other better now (thank's Mick for your company). All together over 60 models were at the event and most of them took to the water at some stage of the day. Several nice submarines sailing, despite the few clumps of under surface weed, but nothing drastic happened to the underwater manouvers.
One again, thank you all for comming and I hope to see you all again next year. Those of you who were not there, you missed a great day out!

Gary  thats what  6 ft long. ??? about the size of my coffin if I try and get that in the house.

Kit makers don't seem to like the Hood. shame would be serious on a build one day soon.
