It's been said that football is the game played in Heaven. If that's the case, Billy Bremner would probably be the captain :-)
One of the greats of the game and captain of the great Leeds side of the 1960s and 70s, he sadly died in 1997 aged only 54. Bremner played with such legends as Norman Hunter (Norman bites yer legs), Paul Reaney, Johnny Giles, Jack Charlton, Allan Clarke, Joe Jordan, Eddie Gray and Peter Lorimer, among others. I never saw them play "in the flesh", but never missed an opportunity to watch them on TV. The manager was the great Don Revie.

It may not have been fantasy football, but it was fantastic football.

Peter.

Peter,
I did have the pleasure to watch that team, when they popped over the Pennines to play in Manchester. I was a regular at Mav a City in those days....It really was a privilege to watch them play. :-))
