after lots of requests from my friends just on this simple boat, that can make in to anything.. so simple that is needed only 8 parts.. simple to cut and glue.. well balanced.. starting with a pleasure cruiser.. so simple.. 100% foam board, as the deck sheet and bulk heads are 4 mm and all other are 3 mm...
-
so simple to make that can finish her in an hour...
-
in action.. i calls her as Lake Cat...

Very nice! Just the thing for a School Group to build. You say Foam board, what is that exactly? Also could you scan the sheet with the bits on and post it? I think lots of others would like to make one!Quite a Commercial opportunity there I think!
-
sure Nordsee.. its so easy.. and its so inexpensive.. i will scan the drawing and share you.. while i am making lots of variations with super structures, from torpedo boat to open hull boat.. i9ts so balanced.. and just can go with a toy motor..
the foam board i uses here is based on P V C, the technical name is styroflex, came as sheets of 8X4 feet, in various thickness.. here i used 4 mm for deck sheets and bulk heads while 3 mm for sides and bottom.. this makes the craft so rigid.. and so lite in weight.. usually this sheets are used to make sign boards, name plates, and thicker sheets for making false ceiling and room partitions.. can also buy in various density and colours.. the two sides will be so smooth, so we can use the craft even without painting..

Hi Krishna,
Can you please also share the scans with me? It looks like a perfect model to build with my daughters as one of their first ships...
Also, what is the vessel in the back? Looks good too.
-
uyyo.. please do not angry on me.. the scanned A3 papers are still in computer center.. i just kept it there because of heavy rain here.. its not good to fold to take with me on my scooter.. i will collect it next day and shares you.. its a perfect size, and well balanced, easy to make within an hour, by this time i made 12 of them in various segments including a torpedo boat.. still 3 more hulls are in free..
the primed super structure is belongs to Emma Maersk, and the 4 feet craft is for the Naval institution, is an OPV.. have a lots to do, now working on engine sound unit, and helicopter..
-
Wow, those variations look good Krishna. I look forward to the scans, no rush - my girls are not at an age yet that they can sit down patiently enough to build their own boat, I am just collecting plans for when that day comes ok2
I hope you'll share that OPV vessel as well, it looks really good as it stands on the photo!
-
tied up in some static models.. will share plan in short time.. thank you..
-
Very cool.
:-)) How long did you need to speed?
-
uyyoo.. sorry.. just moment..
-
Friends.. sorry for the delay.. no A3 scanners near me.. so just scanned as A4, and joined.. so the length of the boat hull is 15.5 inches, while measuring through the center line of the deck sheet..
the printout are in A3 papers..
the bulkheads are numbered from nose to back, as 1,2 and transom.. use 4 mm foam, or balsa sheet for deck, transom and bulkheads, while 3 mm for sides and bottom..
-
please trim out 3 mm each side of the transom, to fix the side sheets nicely with the transom..
-
do you have a scan of the "cabin-cruiser" version's top part?
ok2
-
sure..
-
... and will you share this with us so we can copy your boat O0 ?
ciao!
mario
-
bit of time.. sorry for the delay..

Hi Krishna,
Thanks for sharing the plans for STAR, I think I will build one some day with the little girl. And I concur with Mario's question; the canopy plans for the cabin cruiser would be very nice indeed!
-
Friends.. once again so sorry for the delay.. no scanners around me.. will share you within a day.. have to go nearest town.. while, we can make any boat with this hull.. lobster boat.. little trawler.. waiting to add.. sorry for the delay once again..

You are very busy, how many boats do you have? I think that I will make one of these if I can find the styrofoam in my local DIY shop. Looks fun. U2

Krishna, you are a real star. I love your builds, especially that little jet engine. Despite not having lots of model shops and model boat shows nearby you always come up with wonderful new ideas in using materials to hand to produce your gems. Sad we can't fly you over to the UK {:-{
