went to local bp garage in Newark and a notice had been put on the ultimate diesel pumps that it is not suitable for fords...just curious why....anybody know why....tony

If you think back a few years, Shell brought out a new additive the only problem was it eat Vauxhall engines for breakfast, this is something similar, the only thing is Ford recommend BP fuel!!!!!!

Have run all my cars on BP ultimate, petrol and diesel, never had a problem. Filled up tonight and no mention of not suitable for fords.

this was a printed a4 note inside a plastic cover...I couldn,t ask at the garage as the man behind the counter didn,t speak very good English,...will ask again when I go in...tony

no mention of don't use the diesel

went back to the garage today to find out why....they had to call the ford people out because the nozzle on the pump got stuck in the filler pipe of the car and they couldn,t get it out so they put a notice on the pumps not to be used by fords...sorry to have got the wrong end of the stick.....tony
