Title: Heli deck nets

I know there are many versions out there in etch, but just wondering what people prefer (company) and has anyone made them in some sort of material and bras or such like, if so how, looking at replacing the flight deck nets on my 1/96 (remembered to give scale this time) HMS Phoebe

Hi Rob.
the green safety neting you find flapping around scaffolding may be a candidate for a start material as opposed to the earlier versions which used the table tennis net.

Tulle netting, or Bridal Tulle, is a fine net fabric often used for bridal veils.
It comes in different colors, or can be painted.  :-))

Hi Rob
I used bridal tulle on my tribal Zulu, it passes but to my mind perhaps a little over scale but it was my first attempt,  I'll be using brass etch nets on Coventry,the brass etch from Scale Warships Ltd. is fine quality judging from the 965 radar and boat davits I got from them already, very quick service too.

Rn helideck netting is usually square  mesh so for 1/96 scale I use mosquito netting I got for my yacht
hatches in Greece. It is also good for scrambling nets on 60s warships.
I think I have quite a bit left if anyone is interested.
It is slightly more stiff than net curtain type materials so it cuts very accurately with sharp scissors
