Title: Paddle wheels...
Post by: U-33 on May 25, 2015, 09:35:31 am
Anyone know if there's a set of commercially available paddle wheels for the Forest Classics paddler? I was sure I'd seen a chap who was making and selling them, but I can't find any info on him/them.

Anybody help me out here?

Clyde model boats contact does seem to be a bit erratic, but he did send me an up to date price list a few weeks ago, so he hasn't gone completely AWOL.

Thanks ever so much, gentlemen, much appreciated as always. I'll digest the information you've supplied, and report back later.

Kim had one of life's little hickups (but it wasn't so little), but he is back now, better than before, so give him a call.
Back in the 80's I built a cross channel paddler looked like that, and had feathering paddle wheels as part of the kit.
Graupner did, paddle wheels for the Glasgow.
Float-a-Boat in Melbourne, Australia, may have some which where laser-cut locally, and think Kim has the same range.
Talisman (Paddleducks) did as stated above, photo etched ones but a few years ago now, and haven't seen him on the PD forum for quite a while.
ASk on the PD forum
cheers
