Hi.
 If entering a model boat in a competition and you only use a comercial hull would this be classed as semi scratch,  kind regards Allan.

It would depend on the rules of the competition and which class you enter it in. If there is a 'conventional' scratchbuilding class then you would lose marks for not building the hull compared with someone who has. All competitions vary though depending upon who is running them so you would need to check the criteria before entering.
