Title: Container Ship kits /M.V Fairwind
Post by: danh on August 30, 2015, 10:53:24 pm
Im looking at building a container ship, after being inspired by a documentary on Emma Maersk.

Having had a look around obviously there aren't any kits of Emma Maersk. I have found the Maersk offerings from Deans Marine, Trein Maersk is well out of my budget and the Maersk Anglia isn't really what I was looking at. Im currently thinking of building M.V Fairwind offered by Deans and finishing it in the Maersk Line colours, although not a true scale model of a Maersk vessel its close enough for me.

Has anyone built M.V Fairwind? Or can anyone suggest other potential candidates for someone who doesn't have a great amount of experience in model boat building.

Several Model Boat Clubs in Kent to pop along and ask for advice on building.

Len, Model Boat Association Dover.
I have a Big Boat Build thread on here that you may adapt to suit your needs.
