what is in the fittings kit? It's £80+ And can't find a list of what it contains. I am wondering if it contains anything essential that I can't recreate myself. I am trying to get an idea if it would cost more to buy or make myself. (The fittings kit not the entire boat). Thanks for any info...... U2

Probably mostly cosmetic.
If you are designing your own hull
then you will need to buy the fittings
you need or make them if they are not
available.

Thanks Ned, If for example the kit contains all the deck hooks portholes rope work railings and and vents, I would probably buy portholes and hooks and make the rest. But at £80+ I keep thinking there must be either something I haven't thought about or something very detailed. Anyone? U2

I'll dig out my instructions and see if there is perhaps a list

Thanks Jay, much appreciated. U2

There is a clue here in the description of the kit as advertised :
'This kit is for the intermediate /expert builder comes complete with preformed hull fittings pack I.E all the parts for the deck, bollards and lifebelts and such ' You can compare this with photos to see what else you might need. £80 seems a lot for not a lot!

Thought the Robbe Atlantis was not available? ? Built one lovely to sail takes a long time to rig up lakeside unless you can cart in a trailer.

A bit of practise and it can be done in under 5 minutes quite easily.

I can do mine in 3 mins - wind permitting! Rig has been modified for ease of setting up and dismantling.

A small accident at work has slowed progress of my building O0 (nothing to serious) I managed to do most of the plan and very soon I'll be able to really get on with it. The new thread will start once I get a few photos. U2
