Title: weathering washes
Post by: firstperkasa on November 29, 2015, 08:03:03 pm
Hi
can anyone recommend some washes for weathering my italeri 1/35 schnellboot ?

i have seen the ak interactive ones but is there anything else out there ? We live rurally and have no model shops local so it would need to be mail order.

thanks

Humbrol now do washes; they also have two good videos on their website showing you how to use the washes.

I have found a set by Vallejo that will do me I think. I will only be working on small areas at one time so should be able to clean up ok.
Not sure why but I think I'd rather work with the acrylic ones.
I have some Tamiya acrylic paints that I have been trying to make washes from. Not too shabby really, I just need more colours.
I wont be going mad with the weathering. At the minute its giving me something to do till all the running gear gets here.
Cheers all
