I have a set of plans coming for a side wheel paddle boat I have read on line and talked with some of the members of the boat club I belong to and turning stability is talked about is this a concern are there ways to set the boat up for better control are there ways to stabilize the boat by adding moving weights by servo any help would be helpful.
Paddleducks don't seem to have any information.

Three of us in our club have built paddlers in the last year. To a man, we all wish we had added to our models draft. Each model when tested was too twitchy, and very unstable in turns.
2 of us have re-made the superstructures ultra light, and ballasted the models to the top of the waterlines, the other has been shelved for the moment.
Naturally not all paddlers suffer this way, some are fine, but it is not uncommon. We found out too late.
Which paddler are you thinking of?

The plans are Maid of the Loch I will looking at as many posts and write ups as I can find for the model also need to find plans of paddle wheels not sure if I will buy or make my own still looking at both ways.
Thanks for the reply

The Maid is a pretty ship, I hope it comes together ok. I'd consider adding an inch to the draft.
Regarding the paddles, I found it best to knock up a crude set in plasticard, make modifications, arrive at a working result, then make / buy the good ones.
