This is quite impressive, except for the non scale speed later in the movie.

Good Day All
One of our members from Task Force 72 (FB Perth) has been playing with a Go Pro on his Arleigh Burke for some time now. This was taken from the Sailing Day of the 13th December 2015. The carrier is the HMS Hermes doing her sea trials.

I have a few little jigs made up for various boats so that I can mount my GoPro on board.
Recently I've been out filming from the superstructure of my tug Ayton Cross. If I get around to it, I'll edit and upload to YouTube. I'm not the worlds best, by a very long way, at filming and editing, so I apologise in advance!
This guy has some excellent videos;

By an odd co-incidence, I am at this moment recharging my G0-Pro which I only used once back in April. I am sailing tomorrow and wanted to try it out on my Atlantis. As sailing models have so much bits flying around, locating the camera can be difficult, especially on a 4x sail schooner! However, with all the adapters for fitting, I hope to be able to get something to show you.
This is my one and only effort sailing my Medcalf Moonbeam with the giant ducks of Kent. Will do a better job next time, I hope.>>>>>> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsQCWU5IreQ

Nice videos GAZOU and nemo :-))
The drone/hydrofoil is a very interesting model, and seems to sail quite well.
Nemo, your video is very serene. Thanks for sharing! I'll get mine edited and post it up. :embarrassed:

Very nice big pool for model boats GAZOU......you must spend many hours cleaning the water :embarrassed: ..... Derek

That worked fine Adam, well done!
I am now uploading my film from this afternoon which is very long due to the ideal sailing conditions which kept me on the lake for too long! It is always difficult to produce a video like this which is a bit like watching paint dry, therefore, a nice bit of music helps the boredom - I think?

This was filmed at Bluewater earlier this year with a Go Pro by my Grandson.
The Danube tug is 54" long and the pontoon barge is 36" x 72". And the Moran tug is also 54" but the tanker it is towing is 16feet long.

I enjoy short films of the perspective from the boats.
Thankyou for posting.
I notice that at the start of the first video (at 00:10) the young lady is holding a transmitter with twin thottles. Is that a custom modification or a production tx ?
-
Another variation is from a towed barge but with submerged towline (black) so that it looks like the film was taken from another boat.

That's me %) , holding a Spectrum Dx6 first edition.
A gentleman in a club to the North, in Seattle made them for about a year and a half, then
Spektrum changed how the gimbles were designed. He stopped modifing them after that.
Les, who is sitting and running the large white tow boat, Chief, has dual throttles and
dual rudder sticks on his transmitter.
