Title: Electronic circuit diagram imaging software

Can anyone point me in the right direction for an easy to use circuit diagram application.

Want to be able to make (draw) simple images/diagrams. Something like Mr ActionElectronics used would be great. Inertia can you help?

If its circuit board designs, then go for RS components Design Spark.

It has been a while since I used it but I do recall cropping and converting the .bmp files to smaller .gif files using mspaint.

The wiring diagrams I draw aren't electronic or PCB circuit diagrams at all - they're more like pictures. I use an ancient (2003) copy of Corel Graphics Suite which has CorelDraw12 (Ver 12.0.0.458 to be exact)  as a part of it. The current market version is CorelDraw X7* but there are freebie programs available which I'm sure will do the same job. My old mate Pete Kierle used to do a very similar job using Windows Paint.
The good thing about a vector graphics program is that you can import JPG's and also CAD formats like DWG and DXF, and export your finished file as JPG or PDF; all very useful formats.

Depends a bit on what you want to draw. 
A drawing showing module to module connections (lines joining boxes), with care and attention, can be done with most basic drawing programs like Paint, or MS Publisher or the others mentioned. 
A circuit drawing at component level would probably need something with the right symbols built in. Diagram Designer works, http://www.freewarefiles.com/Diagram-Designer_program_8116.html Free, so only learning time as an investment.

It's taken some time to work through them all - I have found Fritzing does what I want.
