What the title says really,
Tell us what and where you sailed today.
Here's a start.
I completed the maiden voyage of "Tommy" the Springer that I have built for the grandchildren.
Sailed at a breezy and decidedly chilly Wicksteed. No one hung around for long, I had intended sailing the ex Radiojoe "True Blue" but judging by the couple of other boats being sailed, it was too breezy. I shall save it for another day!
Simon.

Unfortunately no - it was our Club AGM and as Treasurer I had to attend %) However there was such a cold wind, I'm quite pleased I was inside {-) {-)

Yes, today was the maiden voyage of the good tugboat "KATIE LOU"
A modified seaport tug. I have just finished sealing the hull with clearcote yesterday, so off we went to a secret location in Whiteley, near Fareham with Katie, Bob, Jay and son and myself.
A fresh day but dry at least..
Katie at the helm of the "Chiquita" an elderly but very capable cruiser.
Bob captaining the Ryehope tug and Jay and son looking on today.

Yes it was our steam open day today. Around 8am this morning it was cold but tents had to go up and get the tea pot sorted. It was cold until 1pm the sun came out. Pictures in club events

Cold and occasional hail showers out here in the Flatlands of South Norfolk, and I had to be at home for a visitor from Wiltshire coming to collect a model, so all I could do was some trimming trials in the test pond, no leaks, so this one's now ready to go. Better weather in the week- - maybe!

I sailed at our local Pond with 5 other members of the Crowborough M.B.C. today.
My Atlantis got a mediocre sail as wind was very slight, between showers of rain and hail! I also had this cheeky wee Springer Shedboat/Boatshed out there.
Cap'n Bob. :-))

Great Springer Crossie! Hope I don't meet it on a dark night somewhere! :}
-
Captain Nemo!! I do hope that you are not implying that this honourable lady is likely to be out and about alone on the dark streets of Sussex in the dead of night?

:embarrassed: Not exactly - I was thinking of somewhere like Potter Heigham! {-)

About 20 of us at Colwyn Bay this morning and the chilly wind provided good sailing for the yachts, but only the large, or foolhardy smaller craft entered the water.
At least the grass around the lake isn't a quagmire any longer.
-
No sailing at N57, chilly and snow forecast, didn't happen so had some lawn mower maintenance in the sun instead. Glad to see the never ending stream of imaginative Springers are still coming off the production line. Put them in the Springer thread too so they don't get lost on this thread. There must be a story behind the Green Welly Navy sprubmarine or is it PTinger ? {-)

oh I get it...its an L-boot :embarrassed: Unt zu harben in der Schpringeisch tread alzo, ich bin ein dumpkopf.

Lovely days sailing at Black Park today. Took my trusty HMS Skirmisher as the new Iggle Piggle boat is not quite ready for its first outing beyond testing in the kitchen sink.

The weather wasn't great for us here either, but I still managed a run with my Grand Banks cruiser, Lady Catherine, scratch built from a James Pottinger plan enlarged to give a length of about 80 cm.

Hope your submarine didn't get wet in the rain! :} Regards, Dave.

I tested my Destroyer on the water for the first time to see if all the gizmos worked. I tethered her just oncase she sank/ ran out of control.
Everything was in order. I sail at the lake behind the Halfway House pub north of Yeovil. Its situated on the A37 halfway between Ilchester and Yeovil.
-
It was Drive It Day on Sunday so I was out in the car, but on Saturday I sailed at the Steamer Day:-

Off to Black Park lake this morning for the maiden voyage of my new Iggle Piggle boat.
Anyone with young kids who watch CBBC will recognise this famous vessel, and all the TV songs from the series that it plays.

Aw bless :-) I remember you saying you were making the model. Have you shown it to your young relation yet, and do they approve?
Lovely model Bob.
-
Thank you ballastanksian. Yes my 5 year old grandson loves it, and keeps switching it on to see the light and hear the music.
-
That's rather splendid.......thanks Bob, as if I wasn't busy enough %%
