received the RNLI plans for the Tamar yesterday. lovely drawings(CAD generated though) but absolutely no damned use to someone wanting to build the hull. these are supposed to be drawings aimed at hte modellor, but they warn you on the application form that they, to summarize, are no use. oh well least the money went to a very good cause.
so that has skuppered that idea, for now at least. any ideas any one/

Give RNLI a ring or email them and see if they do a hull line drawing. Its usually on 1 sheet. (if they do them) I got my Tyne hull line drawing off them once I explained why I needed them although it was a few years back now.

The Severn hull is nearly the same just a meter or so longer i think so could you not build and modify a Severn hull (just a thought) ???

now theres a thought. and taking it further get a hull of of speedline and cut it up, worth a thought. expensive way to go, but it would save a lot of greif, well in one way at least. rejoinig it and keeping it strong and light enough will be a bit of a problem. will think about it.

There are a lot of differences between the Severn hull and the Tamar. The shape below the water is much the same but the Tamar has a finer bow and the prop tunnels at the back are completely different. The biggest difference is the bow as the Tamar is designed for a slipway it has more of a flare to it above the chine where the Seven is almost flat.

Its a bit late now as you may have resolved this but 'Green marine' of Lymington mould the Tamar Hulls(I think)try them for some line drawings.They definatly did the Trent and trials FCB2 hulls.
