Title: help with notifications
Post by: colin-stevens on June 26, 2016, 06:24:28 pm
I seem to have lost the ability to receive notifications of any post I am interested in.
I click the "NOTIFY" button, the post asks me if I am sure, I click "OK".
Job done, the post will now have "UNNOTIFY" at the top.
So I have registered my interest. But I do not get any emails.

Please help.

I have not heard of this.

Just to check the system,  I have opened your letter and underneath it  (when writing is another section marked Attachments and other options).

When clicked,  it gives you the option of  "Notify me of other replies".  I have ticked yours so you should be notified that I have written this.

Cheers

Are you using Hotmail?
.... If so, that's the problem. Hotmail doesn't like Mayhem.  {:-{

Hotmail is a real problem as they block anyone and everyone.

Had an issue that some of my rellies use hotmail yet all my and other ISP users emails were blocked to hotmail recipients.

After a lot of stuffing around, it transpired a hacker was using an account with my ISP, the biggest next to Telstra, so Hotmail just blocked everybody using my ISP. Not the first time it has happened.

Took a couple of months including complaints to Communication ombudsman to get rid of the block.

Can't see the logic with these so called free email services, not to mention the number of times hotmail has been hacked.  >>:-( <*<

Googlemail (Gmail) allows you to collect mail from other systems. Not sure if it works with Hotmail though.
