Hello again Folks,
Can the red roses of Lancashire beat the white ones of Yorkshire?
We will be holding a lighthearted competition at Balne Moor on Sunday 14 August which will involve scale steering as well as tug towing.
Why not come along and have a go, you might find yourself being an honorary Lancastrian for the day! Surprisingly we tend to get more Yorkshire folk than Lancastrians, although plenty cross the border to visit.
Start time will be around 10.30 and hot sandwiches will be available until about 13.00. Tea, coffee and cakes available all day.
As always you can find the directions on the Club website by following the link at the foot of this post.

Greetings everyone,
What can I say the White rose of Yorkshire beat the Red rose of Lancashire although it was very close! (blind man on a galloping horse comes to mind). Yet another really great day was had by all, blessed once again with good weather and an interesting breeze, really friendly people, superb butties and coffee, what else do you need? apart from moving the pond and the people nearer to Southport.
A very big thank you to all the guys n gals involved in organising the day you know who you are. A big thanks to all the girls in the kitchen who kept us going with lovely food and drinks thank you again. Jim has now cornered the market on Lemon drizzle cake (he reckons its easier to sell than the pies!).
We are looking forward to our next visit Balne Moor makes our place look boring. I am useless at posting photos but Poll will post the ones I have sent to him.
Very big thank you from Pete & Jim SMBC.
Cheers,
Pete. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))
