Title: Futaba FP-R118F receiver question?

Hi,

I have a question about the DSC connection on the Futaba 8 channel 40 MHz receiver.

Is it possible to use this as a power in socket, rather than use a Y lead on the 8th channel socket?
Nothing is mentioned in the manual regarding this socket. I do know it is for the cable connected direct servo control function, to check systems without transmitting a signal.
