Title: Reverse polarity on a 27mhz Rx.
Post by: nivapilot on September 11, 2016, 08:50:02 am
Help...........stripped and refurbished my daughters river cruiser.
Connected the 27mhz, Nikko reciever and reversed the connections......will I have damaged it?

It certainly doesn't want to work, but I'm not sure at the moment whether or not it's the Rx or something else. :((

Well after some testing......yes I have destroyed the Rx

Replaced with one from the spares box and she is back, up and running. :-))

When a destroyed (bec-regulating) transistor is replaced by a wire link you may get a working non-bec receiver.
