Hi All,
Generally, was/is the standing rigging on WW2 MTBs wire or rope?
Thanks

%) Hi there, this is an extract from a favourite book Allied Coastal Forces by John Lambert, Volume II and sadly I don't think we can make it out - I am unable to resize properly - basically it looks as though it is mild steel galvanised wire and gun metal fittings.

Cheers John,
FSWR - Flexible Steel Wire Rope for the fore and back stays etc. I've got some Tiger Tail jewellery wire that works perfectly for it. Oddly, they use galvanised for the lifelines but not for the stays. Paint or rust I suppose would be the resultant finish? Possibly the galvanising reduces the flex?
I'd actually buy the book but it's a one off repair job!
