Both I and my friend neil have been struggling over linking a Hitec Optic 6, 2.4 transmitter and a Hitec Optima 7 receiver that he bought off a kind member on here.
Now, neither of us are the brightest of sparks where electronics is concerned, and to be honest this is my first look at a 2.4 set.
However, we have individually and together tried pairing these two pieces of wizardry up all afternoon and failed, even though we have followed the instructions implicitly. the transmitter has 75% charge in it, and the receiver batteries of both 4.8v and another set of 6v are both charged up.
We followed the instructions at each time [shown in the scan] until the final point where it says to reboot. And from there it goes haywire.
The transmitter shows a blue flashing and steady red light, and the receiver only ever shows a red flashing and then steady light. NO BLUE light at all.
And none of the connected servos work at all.
Plus, after trying repeatedly the % of power dropped to 65% and the transmitter would shut itself down and so would the display on the front of the TX.
Is anyone close by to Blackpool/Fleetwood that would be able to look at this set up and link them together please, as it is defeating us two thicko's soundly.
thank you in anticipation.
Jim.

Not surprised you are stuck, those instructions don't make any sense {:-{
At position 3, it doesn't matter which colour LED is blinking, it tells you to change it !!!!!!

yes, we thought that too, but being numpties with this sort of gear, were wondering if anyone close could look at it for us.
Both items are new and work well, but are from different members on here. But also live some distance away.

The instructions appear to be arranged in two columns for two different devices. Presumably you need just the right hand column. The first three steps look to be showing how to bind the telemetry module with step three determining which system it is to work with. The rest - just use the column appropriate for your receiver.
I've never gone beyond very basic Saturn and Radiolink outfits, and I think I know why now.
