Title: 3D Printed Hydrofoil
Post by: IKB on December 17, 2016, 10:53:10 pm
Hi Guys,

Browsing Thingiverse one day I came across an intriguing build by, "antoinef" he had set out to design and 3D print a fully functional RC hydrofoil from scratch and after much work he came up with a very successful design as can be seen here on YouTube:

Now I have always been interested in hydrofoils and would love one in the fleet as you don't see them that often, I have also been wanting to build a boat from scratch with a 3D printed hull, so this project killed two birds with one stone, I finished building my version tonight and will hopefully be sailing tomorrow, more news as it happens.

Hi Guys,

It may of been a bit shaky at first, but it works and skims rather well: https://youtu.be/hXTdiFPEWT8
