Lovely boat the Mersey, however the Shannon just looks so futuristic and modern in comparison.

Why are the members of 12-10 wearing yellow WW/floatation gear, and the members of 13-16  wearing red WWG/floatation gear?

Red crew gear is Shared gear from a relief or passaging lifeboat, yellow is station equipment PPE.
