Hi All,
Can anyone tell me if Dichlormethann Methylene Chloride is the same as Plastic Weld?
Regards

In a nutshell yes!. I use Dichloromethane that I purchase from the scientific section of Ebay. It comes in 1 litre bottles for the same price as plastic weld in 75ml bottles :o
Just decant it into glass - its delivered in a plastic bottle but it has the amazing property of evaporating through the plastic given enough time! There is a technical name for this but it escapes me at the moment.
I should havce said, if you look on a bottle of plastic weld it actually says Dichloromethane in tiny letters!

Ta for the sourcing information Brian. I usually buy mine in 6 litre lots in twelve 500ml cans from EMA, but I will look at your source on Ebay to see if I can save some money.

Hi,
is this ok to use on all plastics

No. This stuff is designed for styrene type plastics. It will not work with other stuff such a Perspex.
