Title: T12 motors
Post by: timbo on June 18, 2017, 10:03:59 pm
Can any body give me an idea on what amps the T12s draw, had a problem today with blown fuse, every thing worked ok with a Tornado 90A speed controller but when I went to change over to a P94 to run two motors in my tug bang!! 20A fuse blew twice.

Hello Timbo

I am a great fan of theT12 and have it fitted in three tugs as a single unit. I reckon it draws 2-3 Amps max just chugging around. Mine are fitted with the Action P80S ESC and work fine. The P94 is cleared for use by 7-12 pole motors so it is compatible. Have you tried each ESC with each motor in turn, trying all four possible combinations. I am no great expert on motors etc. but you may want to look at where the fuse is fitted that is blowing. This may help to narrow down the cause. If nothing else give Action a ring.
