Title: Greetings from Yorkshire
Post by: twisty on June 30, 2017, 10:25:23 pm
Hello boaty folks,

my name is Simon,i come from many years of RC car racing but have also owned model boats and aircraft over the last 30 something years.
One of my favorite relaxations was a Tamiya Around the World Yacht, which i stupidly sold about 15 years ago,i used to enjoy sailing it at our local lake on Sundays when i wasn`t racing large scale petrol cars.

I currently have a 50" Aeromarine Apache, with a Blois hobby shop racing Zenoah, which i bought about 20 something years ago,but which has only been in the water a handful of times, also a 46" MFA Tracker recovery boat, for towing the Apache when it cuts out in the middle of the lake :)

Maybe one day i will get back into sail power again.

cheers,
Simon aka twisty.

Welcome Simon.

Bend a sail to the yard and then pop us some pictures when you do it.

If you haven't done so already, have a look through the archives at all the interesting and useful topics. There is so much priceless information here. It is like the ancient library of Alexandria, so be careful with naked flames  :-)

This month's edition of Model Boats has a review of an attractive yacht. Worth a look maybe?
