You are looking for a Plimsoll symbol to indicate load level in fresh, salt water.

https://www.google.com/search?q=plimsoll+symbol&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi44pu_66zVAhVP5mMKHccDCaAQ_AUICigB&biw=1198&bih=632

The letters each side of the circle indicate the classification society which authorised the mark. Possibly Calypso was reclassified at several times in her career after modifications hence the different options you have.

B-V is Bureau Veritas the French classification society.

There is lots of info online if you search 'Plimsoll Load Line'
