Title: Rivet heads
Post by: spooksgone on August 08, 2017, 05:11:40 pm
Hi all. I am trying to track down a supplier of 1/48th scale rivet heads. I tried the place in Barrow that Stan got his from, but the has owner has now retired. If anyone has a good supplier I will be glad to know. Thanks guys and dolls.
Regards
Phil

Archer decals makes dimensional rivet decals in several scales, and layouts.
I think you want O-scale for 1/48. http://www.archertransfers.com/
They are little resin dots on decal paper,

If you have steady hands, you can use Extra Thick CA, and an teflon tube attachment to place dots of CA as rivets.
I recommend sanding the area, and brushing a bit of kicker onto the surface before application.
I did the 1/24 scale window frames below.

Thank you for the replies. I will order some of the forest sprues rivet heads, they seem ideal. With my shaky old hands, best order twice what I need!! Thank you again.
