Yes big changes with a state of the art Station and RNLI 13-18 due about 23rd.
I am currently building a 1:12 model of RNLB William F Yates, so looking forward to her arrival.

Good pics !

A big change for the crew and the town; for over 114 years, a Service starts with the Mersey Class RNLB Andy Pearce, with crew already on board, being towed through the town centre with the tractor's Klaxon blaring.
It is an awe inspiring sight to stand on the pavement and watch traffic scrambling out of the way as a huge lifeboat roars along the streets on it's way to the beach.

its strange how 3 stations kinda close to one another have shannons (Rhyl, LLandudno and Hoylake) when other stations losing the all weather boat berwick upon tweed is one of them and others on east coast, Rhyl are getting their shannon in 2019 so 2 more years of Lil before she retires
