Post by: gerard on October 05, 2017, 11:57:22 pm
Hi, just about to start fitting out the interior of a Slipway Tamar.
question is it advisable to paint the interior of the hull, if so what is the best material,i.e. Gloss emulsion or?
Thanks.Gerard

It needs to be as water resistant as the outside.  Probably acrylic.  You still need a good layer of pigment to stop light shining through the plastic.

I usually paint after everything has been fitted. Remove everything that is meant to be removed then paint. This does protect the adhesives which can be splashproof but not fully waterproof.

Hi Gerard
I was wondering if you have installed a brushless system in your Tamar and if so what size of motors and esc have gone for . I'm just started my 1/16 Tamar and unsure what to fit .
