Hello.
I have a bit of a dilemma regarding prop choice.
Any info appreciated.
My motors are 1500 watts each but only 10,000 rpm. They are 50 size brushless outrunners.
I have clearance for up to 50mm dia. props but I can only find maximum pitch props of 50.1mm which will not give much speed, not looking for racing speed but a decent turn of speed is needed.
My preference is for 3 blade but other blade counts will be o.k.
I would rather keep to 45mm if possible 3 or 4 blade.
My questions is this, does anyone know of any propeller manufacturer/supplier that offers higher pitch props at 45/50mm diameter?
Must have M4 thread.
Mike.

They look splendid! Could you give us some details on how you made them? Perhaps start a separate thread rather than hijack this one.

Hi Mike,
Have you fitted the props yet?
George

Just to say that George does make a very nice prop. He made one for me for the 1886 torpedo boat from the original plans and it looks and works just as should.
No other connection - just a very satisfied customer. :-))

Simon Higgins is the same person that made the props at the Prop Shop until he left & started his present business. I would guess that they are to the same high standard that he did at the Prop Shop.

I have only ever used his cast propellers..............they are a thing of beauty and a joy to behold........he has made me two sets of one off propellers in the past, for two boats, and both sets were beautiful and not much more than standard props of the same size........a great engineer, producing beautiful items.

We rarely use anyone else for our props. The performance is far superior to a standard brass prop and the quality of them is amazing- if we didn’t use them for model boats we’d hang them on the wall!

I totally agree........they are a work of art, truly........and the extra money is so worth it.

It is very rare to find someone that good at what they do. I concur on all the praise given, I think I have 9 or 10 to hang on the wall too Nick. Mick B.

Thank you Tony!
Best wishes
