Title: HMS Illustrious grilles etc
Post by: dgp1957 on May 01, 2018, 02:43:03 pm
Hi I have the funnel set from Fleetscale for HMS Illustrious, there are certain cut out sections on each funnel, looking at my plan there should be some sort of grill built into the cut outs. Can anyone tell me if there is a supplier of etched details that I could use as grilles on the model?

If Fleetscale doesn't do a set then you may have to make your own using grille pattern embossed plastic (Evergreen do a couple sizes) or look for etched brass sheets of mesh etc from the likes of ScaleLink, J.R.Haynes or Deans Marine. Is your kit 1:72nd or different?
