Following a commission from Australia, Christian in Gibraltar now has a hull which the poms might like, Scillonian in 1/72 scale.
-
Which Scillonian? There have been three I think.
-
Scillonian II, the good looking one. :-)
-
In later life she was also known as;
Devonia
Devoniun
Syllingar
Remvi
Africa Queen
Princess Eliana
Olga J
She served in Scotland the Adriatic and West Africa before being abandoned and sinking in Bourgas, Bulgaria in 2004.
-
1/72nd scale? So about 880mm long then? That would make a real nice model.
-
She should be 883 mm long, a beam of 130 mm and displace 2.5 kgs. A nice vessel and a handy size too.

I think the Scillonian III is a beautiful vessel. :D

How much?
-
57 pounds + postage.
-
I am contemplating commissioning a Scillonian III 4 hulls from Christian. Any takers - £66 + P&P per hull. Need to get 2 more sold to make it viable.
-
Well I've hit the button and sold 2 hulls. Anybody else???
-
One left . . :-))

Some shots of Christian's hull built and running trials.
-
Nice model! The Thornycroft funnel looks great I always think it's a complicated arrangement to model.
-
Looks great! I've ordered a Scillonian II hull to go with my Scillonian III order too!
Still one Scillonian III hull available if anyone interested.

We had a 2 day Regatta up the Blue Mountains and the mist rolled in on Sunday. She looked very much at home in that weather.
