HMVS CERBERUS the world's first turret armed ship. On ABANDONED ENGINEERING now Also the ghost fleet in the POTOMAC river U.S.A. Wooden steamers built in WWII (2) and never used. Now a nature reserve/reef of burnt out hulks filled with rocks to sink them. I wonder if we could get plans for any of them.

Hi John,
I recall there is a Cerberus preservation trust in Oz that does something like a card model and/or drawings of her. As she was built for the Australians, the NMM, might have drawings. It is possible that the builder or their archive holders might have something of use. As for the wooden steamers, then lots of Googling will turn something up I am sure.
Do a search on this forum as well, as there are at least eleven years of topics that may hold something?

I have vague memories of posting these photos on here before so there might be a thread about her. Sorry about the spelling on the photo titles. :((

I meant WW11
They were built not quite in time for world war 1, scuttled in 1925 when the salvage company bent bust.

I don't know about the American ships but Cerberus was built in 1871. Look her up on Wiki
