Difficult to choose between the QE2, because she was 20 years ahead of herself when she was launched and still looks good 40 years later, or one of the traditional queens such at the first Elizabeth and Mary.

I agree with Queen Elizabeth II but SS France comes a close 2nd for me.
( Or as SS Norway with the all blue funnels. )

Those "Flying funnels" were an awesome idea!

the Normanide, not only nicer looking than QM1, it was also more advanced as well, electric motors drove the shafts, steam turbines spun generators that supplied power for the ships systems, and the bulbous bow that she sported made her more efficient than QM1, and this was in the 1930s!

I'd love to be patriotic and say QM, QE or QE2, but my heart goes "No. Normandie!"

As Ghostie says, she was so far ahead of her time. If she'd been built in 61, when France was launched, she would still have looked modern. France, QE2 and QM2 have all taken styling cues from her.

If only they'd listened to her designer, opened the sea-cocks and let her settle before she capsized. maybe things would have been different.
