Evening all. After a spell doing other things It is time to build a boat. I have a bought a plan and hull from Sirmar for the Admiralty 105ft Motor Minesweeper and will be using a 3D printer to make the superstructure rudder skeg and motor/radio tray. I have been experimenting and I am encouraged by the results.

From Nick . . .
Most pleased with the results of my 3D printing efforts. The trickiest part is taking off the drawing and copying into Designspark Mechanical to make the files for printing.Majority of parts printed at 0.075mm, 1mm for larger parts. The Superstructure has turned out really well, sweep winch has ended up with over 20 parts and counting. Decks will now also be printed.'
<*< This will cost you . . .

Thanks Bill. I really must get a decent camera, phone photos leave much to be desired.....

Phone cams are only any good in daylight, in bright sunshine their very good . . .even a 'proper' cam suffers in poor light.
What glues do you need for 3D printed parts ?
Does it depend on the material your printing in .

Cyano for PLA, epoxy works but parts can be peeled apart. Methyl Chloride is also good but prohibitively expensive. For ABS I use acetone.
