tv picture blocking

If you have an aerial then it may have moved, though you may have a Satellite Dish or Fibre Optic cable, or an old Telly.
Only you can tell. {:-{

dish tv 2 years old 42 lg

The weather can affect the
signal with a dish.
Are you on a communal dish
signal or on your own?
Communal dishes have amplifiers
which should affect your neighbors.

Do you mean the TV picture is appearing blocky?
It could be the signal - caused by weather (for terrestrial tv), the transmission power, or an aerial/dish issue, or it could be a dodgy cable within the house.
Did it just start suddenly? Have you tried wiggling cables?

Is this on all inputs like channels terrestial /satellite etc., and what transmitter are you tuned into Caradon hill?
-
Usually poor signal related. Picture ok on other inputs DVD etc
-
On a dish it is usually weak signal caused by misalignment or weather. Is it on the roof where it could be blown by wind?Or on a wall low enough for a window cleaner to bash it with a ladder? Check cabling for breaks or loose connections.
Also during the summer, be aware that our little buzzy friends the wasps can crawl into the feed horn of the LNB if it doesn't have a cover over it, this causes signal loss as well, I get this a lot!
Also check which channels its affecting, is it all of them or just one or two? If its the latter it is definitely signal drop out - the broadcaster has changed the strength of the signal, we get this on itv 2,3,4 and some of the regular sat channels like Really and Drama even though we have a 3 metre dish!

Before you start poking around with connections First check your signal strength and signal quality go to Services / settings (spanner) the scroll along to signal if all good it is unlikely to be connections . If this is an intermittent problem I would leave it on that for a bit see if there is any fluctuations. What you can also do is switch off the box unplug leave for say 10mins then turn on the power again leave it for a reasonable time longer the better before actually turning the box on. You may still get a message box is still initialising so you just have to wait till it's done. That can fix some problems depending what they are I have an oldish box
This may suit yours for a reboot

Hmmmm. I think I mentioned that possibility :embarrassed:

My aunty gets pixelation when a teenager goes past on his little moped as the suppression seems non existent. Some cars also do it as well, but only until they are far enough away and the effect abates.
-
.whats her signal strength and quality? you should not get that much these days ?
-
I know she had a friend put a booster box on a couple years ago as the old one was not functioning properly.
-
Alas boosters only boost the signal strength not the quality might be worth calling it up on the menu see what it shows you can have full strength signal and still have low quality. What transmitter Mendip or local
