Post by: Neil on December 09, 2018, 09:39:16 pm

anyone want to own the finest sailing gold medal winner Arun lifeboat...……………..no! not a model......but the real deal

up for sale from tomorrow by on line auction is the 52-02 triple diagonal cold moulded plywood prototype Sir William Arnold, the St PeterPort, Guernsey lifeboat and judged to be by two different staff coxs'ns, one being a friend of mine as the finest sailing and handling Arun in the fleet.

She took part in the gold medal rescue of the crew of the Bonita in hurricane force storms just 6 days before the sad loss of the Penlee lifeboat Solomon Browne in 1981.

Anyone have a spare 50 grand can bid for her on line here....
