Title: Motors for hms skirmisher
Post by: TIGER on January 05, 2019, 11:46:08 am
Had a deanes kit for ages and when I came to carry on I found I have misplaced one of the kondor motors i got with the kit. The only info I can find is it runs 4.8 - 12 volt, to be run on 6 volts. Just wondering what alternative i should use as I have a load of motors laying about. Rather than buying another from deanes.thanks in advane

I think a pair of 385 sized motors would be suitable if you have them.

I have a Deans Marine Fletcher class model powered by two familiar size motors to the m f a 385  running on 6volts. The props are 42mm  and the runs at a nice speed so I think the 385 would do the job.

Yes, I concur, 2 * 385 motors will be fine if you have them. If not buying another motor from Deans will cost about the same.
Just don't confuse 385 motors with 380s, they're very different.
