Title: Wholesale propshafts, who makes them?
Post by: mermod on March 10, 2019, 08:37:57 am
So while sitting here recovering i have been looking at ways to improve my mini tug kits and i think one of the best ways would be to include the propshaft and stuffing box, i have spoken to a couple of places that retail but dont wholesale and all they tell me is thay they are done for them by a guy in the UK (me being in Aus) so im hoping by using the massive resources of modelboat mayhem someone can help me track down this supplie

Mark at Marks Model Bits, Steve at Model Boat Bits, Mobile Marine Models and Deans Marine all make prop shafts. I don't know if they wholesale them, but its worth asking. Also these people seem to supply some of the UK shops http://www.radioactivemfg.com/Catalogue/p15.htm

I can confirm that Radioactive do wholesale their hardware (shafts, rudder assemblies, props) - it's used by SLEC, for example. Model Slipway's kits include running gear supplied by SHG Model Supplies. http://www.shgmodels.com/acatalog/ (http://www.shgmodels.com/acatalog/)
