Post by: goBulawayo on April 26, 2019, 07:37:03 pm
Hi All, I am looking to re purpose an RC aeroplane brushless motor in one of my boats - Can anyone tell me what the black connector with two prongs is for please - The motor and speed controller are out of an air-tech mustang p-51

I can't make out the text on the ESC pic to Google it. Have you looked for a manual? It sticks in mind some aero esc's have an "arming" switch or button to stop the prop spinning when everything's switched on?

To be honest that black connector looks a little bit long, it's also a bit unusual for a manufacturer to produce any sort of "live" contact via a male, or exposed pin, they're usually a female or socket.  To me anyway it might suggest a DIY add-on?  Any info / text you can pull from your actual device -it might be a normal arming switch like I suggested.  Have you tried powering it up on the bench?
