Hi all well we've moved in (so much to do) we're loving our new house.
Still getting used to being a townie (after ten years of living in the middle of nowhere) everything is so convenient (even had a Dominos last night, delivered no less) and what amazes me is it's quieter (no barking muntjacks in the middle of the night) I never thought moving into a town would be quieter than living out in the boonies oh and internet, wow we got 3 meg on a good day this morning we had 114 meg took all night for us to download a film my missus did 3 last night in an hour.

So where did you move from and to (roughly)? I dread the prospect of moving for many reasons. I wouldn't class dominos as a good definition of an area. I love Essex though, used to visit years ago. Loved the blackwater area!!

We only moved 4 miles but seems like a completely new country we're in halstead now which is between sudbury and Braintree.

Hi all well now it's all complete, got a new job (with more pay and holidays) we are as happy as frogs on Lilly pads, flys on poop, maggots on rotting festering decaying rubbish.
Well no, happier than that, we love our house, we love where we are, our family is great and are fully behind us, life, as they say couldn't be better

Hi Kpnuts
Been a long time since I was in Halstead bet a lot has changed from then, used to have to got through there when I lived in Sudbury and worked in Braintree, The wife and I used to go to an Italian that was next to the church bet it has now long gone, the Hotel at the bottom of the hill next to the river think it was called "The Bull"?

Enjoy your new home, it sounds as if you already are O0
I have to admit my Aussie ignorance, I had no idea what a Muntjac was so I Googled it, as you do, to find that it's a species of barking deer. There are no deer anywhere near us as they are an introduced species in Australia, but in some areas feral deer can be a problem. However, there are some deer farms where the animals are raised for venison.

Here it would be a possum clonking across the tin roof. %%

Or koalas during the mating season, they sound like a demented baby crying {-) In our case, as we live on a farm, it can occasionally be wild dogs howling, (domestic dogs gone feral) <*< They can be a real menace to livestock and are a big problem, even close to some towns.

I forgot the fox barking. We can even forget to put the chooks away at night because of all the rabbits! {:-{

Yes foxes are noisy too especially in mating season.
