As it's a New Year and many people are struggling with resolutions, can I throw in a few specifically for this forum?
1. If you're asking for some assistance then remember to use the word "please".
2. If someone obliges you with a useful reply then don't forget to say "Thank you" even if you subsequently don't use their advice. They are, after all, taking their own time to help you for no payment in return.
3. If you get irritated by something in a post and feel constrained to fire off a reply then by all means draft it (and spellcheck it) - but go away and do something else before hitting the Enter key. The chances are that when you review what you have written you'll take a slightly different view and either tone down your draft or delete it altogether. Very few people are rude or nasty just for the sake of it - please don't join them. Think of how you would feel were the situation to be reversed. 8)

Good advice Dave. There are one or two ex-members of this forum who would have benefitted from it!
(and maybe one or two current ones? %) )
