Found on Ebay and my query is will they work and if so for how long?

I feel that as long as you don't use them underwater (!), they should be fine %)

Will work but tend to get the internals of the motor rather rusty unless fully dried out after each run. (See article in latest model boats)

I am assuming that this would be used underwater.
I would be prepared to try it with a prepared brushless motor but I don't think that a brushed motor would last long.

If you have the patience and common sense to find out what household and modelling materials you need to make a watertight seal and hard enough shell then you can water and pressure proof servos and extruded can motors.
