HI Guys I have sailed this model today the first time in over 12 months. It never disappoints all ways looks very good on the water I will post this evening pictures of the simple drive for one of the rear axles.

Stan that is so realistic - wow :-))

Just a few shots showing what make the model tick. Power is supplied from a 7.2 NIMH battery this provides power to the motor a 385 motor attached to a M F A gear box. The lights take power from the drive battery through a voltage reducer and then to a single Action switch. The drive on one of the rear axles is simply a worm gear fitted on the prop shaft which in turn drives a Gog fitted to the axle.. The servo on the front wheels is fitted with servo reverse circuit this allows the front wheels to mimic the rudder movement when turning. This old lady now needs some T L C so this autumn it will be back in the paint shop. The plate in the picture indicates the model was built June 2003 and refitted 2014 /2019. The drive picture is poor will take better shot and re post

Brilliant Stan. Having dabbled in a few military models (1/16 R/C metal Tiger, 1/6 Willys, 1/9 Harley WLA and various 1/35 tanks) I know how tricky it is to get that level of finish. It's knowing when to stop but also what to apply as there is so much choice of weathering products around!
Great work Stan, thanks for sharing😊

Hello
Thanks for posting this again. I was wondering where you got your 1/16 tires and rims from? Are the tires resin or rubber like with some flex?
Wow really nice work at 1/16 scale.

Hi the wheels are from Hobbies uk. The wheels are hard plastic and the outer rims are fitted with 10 ba bolts.

Morning Stan,
You have competition..let's just say we were inspired by your model and the practicality displayed for a 1/16 model.

Hi they look good. I must try harder next time( If there is a next time)

No need to try harder, still the gold standard which we would like to aim for...although we do have Dingos!
